"This is the sixth time we have stayed at Condovac. If you are looking for an economical place to stay in a stunning location this may be a property worth considering. The all-inclusive food is healthy Costa Rican-style fare (if you want a more North American buffet, you'd be better off at the Riu). The beach is amazing and we often snorkel at the south end. We always feel safe in Playa Hermosa and appreciate that it's only a half-hour drive from the airport in Liberia."

"I am very through when it comes to trips. If you are a solo traveler or even looking for a family vacation . This is a good place to stay. Pros: - The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. Even the workers fixing up the hotel. Easy to show you where to go if needed. - It is safe ! The resort is gated and there is security that checks cars and vans coming in and out. I saw a comment about someone losing money from their room. The resorts’ gate security checks employees belongings before leaving work. - Food choices are pretty good for all inclusive. They have an omelette bar in the mornings where you can pick your choice of fixings for the cook to make. So yummy !! - I did not book excursions prior to my trip because I felt I would get better deals at the resort and I did !! There are different companies at the resorts that offer many excursions. I went on the volcano sight seeing / hike with a mud bath . It was an experience I will never forget. - Souvenirs: The resort has amazing shops to buy souvenirs, however I love how the local merchants were allowed on the resort on the beach. You are able to negotiate prices with them. Some can be more aggressive to sell than others. Con’s: There’s no true nightlife at the resorts, except a mini club on the outskirts and the shows the resorts have a 9pm nightly. - BUGS ! I made sure to lock my screen door at night because the creatures come out at night. I still ended with a beetle in my room. Overall a good vacay spot "

"I loved this resort! 1. The food was great for resort food 2. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. 3. We always felt safe even at night 4. The resort was full of monkeys, iguanas, macaws, birds 5. Lots of entertainment for kids The only downside was the beach. Don’t go here For the beach. It’s pretty and the view is great but the locals bug you to get massages as soon as you step foot on the sand and the current is strong I would go back and recommend this place every time. "

"We have just returned from a 5 night stay at this resort and we had an absolutely excellent time. The location is stunning, and our premium ocean view villa was a perfect choice for travelling with our three boys (two university aged and on reading break as well as our 13 year old). We chose the all inclusive option (after much debate based on some of the reviews) and are so happy we did, the food was amazing! Definitely a quieter resort with a very laid back atmosphere and we really enjoyed both the staff and all of the other guests we met. The resort has less of a commercial feel and provides more of an authentic Costa Rican experience. We booked a few offsite activities, one of which was surf lessons in Tamarindo, definitely a highlight of our trip! We also enjoyed the use of the kayak and paddle board, but note that they are only available for use between 9:30 and 11:30 and never had any trouble booking (just mentioning this for planning purposes). It may also be of note when booking a tour to make sure that one of the guides speaks English if you do not speak Spanish. We booked a snorkeling excursion and we’re lucky enough to have a local couple on the tour that were able to translate for us. It is also very easy and inexpensive to head into Coco Beach for a bit of night life if you wish or to shop and explore for the day. While the shuttles are a great option to get to the beach, my preference was to walk and sneak a stunning hike into the day. Perfect stay!!!"
