"This is a superb hotel in a lovely neighborhood. We were half board and the food was excellent. Breakfast is also excellent but what made the restaurant so good is the staff and the manager Jose. It is a walk from the main town centre, and the hill is steep, so need to be mobile, or happy to use taxis. But the walk is worth it as the location is peaceful. "This hotel is a little gem, steeped in history and very central. The internal lounge area with it's palms and exotic plants is wonderful. I would recommend this hotel so long as you are not looking for luxury. There are lovely views from many rooms and the pool is good. Shame they don't offer tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Fixtures and fittings are sadly just looking a bit tired."

"The initial receptionist was ‘cool’ towards us on arrival. Other staff members were great, and on leaving the female receptionist was so helpful and friendly. It’s a great place to stay. Our bathroom still had previous occupants hairs in the shower, and there were clearly sewerage issues. The room itself was light, airy, and simple, buy comfortable. "Very good all rounder. Food was not as good for early week and better later in the week for dinner. The doors to the balcony rattle at night, keeping people awake. The staff are great though, very likeable. Good gym but a bit far from the main hotel. Overall, really enjoyed my stay with the beautiful views, old style music and overall great atmosphere. "

Fantastic

"The house is just as described.. better. Elizabeth has thought of everything to make your stay as easy as possible with helpful condiments and toiletries. The garden is just as the photos. We came to relax and did just that, we stayed at the house doing very little for a number of days we were there which was perfect. The house is a long way from anywhere with very steep roads to access it, my only tip would be to have a flight that arrives in daylight. Negotiating the roads in a hire car after a day travelling was challenging!"

Review of Home2Book Cozy Apt near the seaside

"Unfortunately the electronic link to access the apartment did not work, and the staff at Home2Book were unable to remotely let me in. This meant I was stood outside for almost an hour trying to get in. Accessing the actual apartment (once I had gained entry through asking a neighbour to buzz me in) was another problem, and I had to suggest to the hosts to ask the cleaner to come and let me in. It's a very nice apartment, but it wasn't very clean. Also, I asked for a second towel as there was only a small towel, and one bath towel. There is no provision for a towel to use at the pool or beach. Induction hob - I've never used one before, and had to ask some friends in the UK to help me with instructions. There are no manuals on how to use the induction hob or the washing machine. The soap dispensers in the bathroom were empty. This review is meant for the hosts, and I don't intend it to be viewed publicly."

House in Guimar

"It was a nice place with a swimming pool outside, huge kitchen - with all the facilities - very convenient, and place for sleeping. We had whole area only for us - so it was a big big advantage, and we were resting there really nice. The contact with manager was quick. I would recommend this property and will go there for sure with my family again."
