"This hotel is really great. It may look a bit tired from the outside but ince in through the doors the decoration, atmosphere and warmth of it and the staff would be hard to beat. The room we stsyed in was small but perfectly formed which was as expected due to the description when we booked and again decorated to a high standard. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was good."

"We were greeted on arrival by a very welcoming young lady who checked us in and showed us to our room. Room was spotless and beautifully decorated. Stayed to eat some lunch, service was friendly and efficient. After a wander round Lancaster, back to our room for showers and a change. "My meal on Sunday evening was the best I’ve ever had, and the service by Rula wonderful and friendly.. room was delightful and breakfast delicious hot and perfectly served. Excellent choice the only problem was when paying generally with Hotels.com I pay before I leave home and can use my Keycash points but as Mellor took funds on leaving the deputy manager didn’t know how to use my credit which would have covered my meal. Would only have to comment on the light shining through the bathroom window all night from the storage area outside, and the shower cubicle wasn't very clean (moldy grout, mold on shower fittings), but the room itself was very modern and warm. "We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did. Excellent Chinese takeaway. "A really lovely place to stay. Warm and friendly welcome, beautifully presented throughout and very comfortable and clean rooms. I had a very large walk in shower which was perfect and I genuinely couldn't fault anything from the moment I walked in, to walking out. "Stayed one night only. The room was comfortable. Even though the heating was not on due to it supposedly being summer, as the room was a little cold we were able to turn on an electric wall heater to take the chill off the room & a blow heater in the bathroom. The quality and pricing of food and drink in the bar were excellent. The cooked breakfast was included, which was also delicious. Would definitely stay again."
