"We stayed in one of the unusual/unique container style rooms with an allocated parking space. Ours was upstairs. The room was new, spacious and well equiped. It is a very short walk to the shops, restaurants and waterfront of Whakatane. Friendly helpful person on reception. Definitely recommend staying here. "

"This elegant historical hotel was a great choice in Rotorua. We especially enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff, the excellent dinner at Duke’s Restaurant, and the wonderful hot pools on site. With such great, private pools, you really don’t have to pay for others. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed walking the nearby beach boardwalk and gardens. Free parking is offered but can be a bit hard to secure during the day. But by evening, there was ample to choose from."
