"Villas sol and in particular villa 36 were awesome. 36 is high enough up the hill that you have a great view. We loved the outdoor space for relaxing. This villa is close to the wet bar and the shuttle was very convenient for coming back from the beach (all uphill) but we also walked back some days. Villa 36 needs some love, the counter was glued back on, maybe a fresh coat of paint as the walls are all scuffed and dirty probably from luggage. "The villa we stayed at was everything we needed for living and cooking, and very well equipped overall. It was a nice, mostly downhill walk to the beach and we usually took the shuttle back to our unit since it's quite an uphill climb, though doable for most people in reasonable shape (we're in our 60s). A modest grocery store is 1.3 km away, right next to what is the best stocked and most reasonably priced souvenir shop in the area. About a 15 minute walk each way. A larger store is about 4 km...

Only draw back was that the road noise is a little loud for most people, but not a major issue. Also the golf cart and Norma's cooking/hospitality are major assets to the accommodations."

"This is an older property on a fabulous beach. It seems as though the owners are in the process of slowly upgrading the interior. The AC works and the stove and refrigerator are new. They were very responsive to our questions and concerns. If you want an inexpensive place to stay close to the beach and aren’t expecting a place that has been completely renovated consider this rental. "
