"We stayed at this hotel between landing in Liberia Airport and traveling to Tamarindo nearby. It was a great, relaxing and cleanly place to stay during our trip. The restaurant on site was good and had friendly service. There’s not much in the surrounding area reachable on foot in terms of other food or groceries but for the one night that wasn’t a problem."

"We loved our stay at this beautiful house- it has all modern amenities you would ever need. The communication was super easy, as was the check in- it was very easy to find the house with the directions and google maps. We loved that the house was secluded, super quiet and close to many different beaches. We did not love Sámara, as it was very crowded and touristy, but we loved that this house was close to go to several other amazing beaches. Would definitely stay again!!"

"Staying at Hacienda La Norma has been such a pleasure! From the beautiful, well-appointed and thought out rooms and property, to the great restaurant, beautiful pool, and, most importantly, the owners and staff that truly made us feel like family and looked out for our every need. This is not a soulless, corporate hotel chain, but an intimate and homey getaway situated on a gorgeous property and nature all around (seeing the howler monkeys was such a treat!). Horseback riding, ATV tours, and zip line are on the property as well. Just under 15 minutes drive to the closest beach (Playa Avellanas) and about 25 minutes drive to the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo, so you’ll be very well situated without being in the craziness of it all in the bigger towns. We are already planning our next stay! "

"Luis at the front desk is an excellent help. I can’t say enough about how helpful he was with everything. The place is rustic, very much reminds me of the American southwest. It’s a nice place to stay for a day. Beds were like brand new. And they offered a breakfast. Coffee was excellent. "

"This was a wonderful stay in a remarkable place. The room was very comfortable with a balcony with a fantastic view. The food was excellent and the staff were really kind. The highlight was the "safari" with Kenneth, around the property to see birds. One of the best birding experiences we've had. Palo Verde was closed, but this allowed us to see huge flocks of birds in the wetlands right next to Palo Verde. We then walked around several times, as well. The road there is challenging, and it's remote - you have to eat at the hotel, because there's nowhere else. But it was the highlight of our trip. Secluded, beautiful, comfortable, and great wildlife."

"This was one of our favorite trips ever. The treehouse suites are magical and truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The staff was amazing—I can't say enough about how well we were treated. The food and drinks were of top-notch quality. The views from the suites were wonderful to wake up to and fall asleep to. I could have stayed another month!"
