"This was our favorite stay in Costa Rica! Nury’s property is impeccably clean and serene. Much like the other guests we enjoyed watching the toucan in the tree, the cows and horses while sipping coffee. Our entire family took surf lessons and loved that experience, and then coming back to our own outdoor shower and pool to relax in. Just as an FYI to US travelers who aren’t used to Costa Rica AC, central AC is not a thing in CR! Enjoy the open air living space and the ice cold AC in the bedrooms only, it’s all you need! And the ceiling fans are amazing. Move this one from your favorites to your booked stays, you won’t regret it! Nury is uber communicative! "

"Everything was great. But, although the pool was lovely, it could have been cleaned better: their was a floating bag of chips and a water bottle, and way too many leaves, floating and at the bottom. "

"Hotel is on a large property with wildlife, Tenorio Adventure Company is across the street (highway, U turn to get there). They do tours down the rivers near there."

"Pros: Excellent option if you have a flight the following morning out of Liberia. Airport is 5 minutes away. The reception closes at 6pm but they provide excellent instructions for self check in. Rooms are big, comfortable, have a refrigerator, AC, fans, good wifi and are priced very reasonable considering the distance to airport. The restaurant on premise looks good but didn’t get to try it as we had a very early flight. Good communications from host. Easy free parking, very clise to airport, clean and comfortable bed. Cons: no elevator, we had a room in fourth floor so had to go up 4-5 flights of stairs. Wasn’t a problem for us, but depending on your physical limitations and amount of luggage it could be challenging for some. If you need a first or second floor room send them a request. There is also some road traffic noise, but quiets down by 10-11pm. I used ear plugs and not a problem. "

"Rancho Humo was perfect for us: comfortable and peaceful accommodations on the grounds of a working ranch with a nature preserve, so I experienced Costa Rica without feeling like a tourist...even if of course we did take tours, with Kenneth pointing out birds, monkeys, crocodiles, green iguanas (Ticos probably think I'm funny to be excited about iguanas), and even a very cute couple of Pacific screech owls peeping down at us from a tree right outside the front door which I would not have noticed on my own. I was born in Maryland but I never saw a Baltimore oriole before I was here! The staff were very welcoming, Ticos are lovely people."
