"Excellent grounds for scenery and ambience. Design of the buildings and resort hotel rooms were very attractive. Very tidy, clean resort grounds. Beach great for swimming, nice sand, enjoyable beach front patio restaurant. Shopping on site for groceries or otherwise was mediocre, although not expensive. The buffet restaurant on site (at $45 per person) also mediocre, which explains why so few patrons frequented it each night."

"Food was great! A majority of the staff was great! Tried the rooms with Bali beds out front and that was a waste of money. No view and filled with ants. Get a higher room with an ocean view. The beach was useless as it is steep and ground seashells for sand. That said, you cannot beat the view of Simpson Bay. Great island and will be back when they rebuild. I would just stay at a sister property near the airport next time."

"This hotel is the best on the Dutch side of the island. It is in the heart of everything. Stores are outside the front door, the beach is outside the back door. The staff are exceptional, always made you feel welcome. The food and service in the restaurant are top notch. The hotel and rooms are very clean."

"Staff was nice. Cleaning daily. Quiet. Not many staying in the hotel. Had to pay for laundry. We had very spacious suite. Furniture in the lobby is antique and needed dusting. We had to dust the tables etc in our room. Very big bathroom with tub and walk in shower. Can get basic breakfast but we mostly ate on the boardwalk. Will come back again."
