"Food was great! A majority of the staff was great! Tried the rooms with Bali beds out front and that was a waste of money. No view and filled with ants. Get a higher room with an ocean view. The beach was useless as it is steep and ground seashells for sand. That said, you cannot beat the view of Simpson Bay. Great island and will be back when they rebuild. I would just stay at a sister property near the airport next time."

"With the assistance of desk staff , Tacoma, a personal property loss at the airport was resolved with his efficiency, knowledge, and kindness. kudos to him! Property appears to be in need of renovation and updated maintenance. Stairs difficult without a working elevator. No ability to lock the sliding doors to ground level balcony. AC less than adequate - never got room temperature below 80*"

"Small boutique hotel with absolutely wonderful breakfast (you need to upgrade, but well worth the very minor fee). Dining room at night waa also a fabulous choice for supper. Lots of choices. Drinks were very good as well. I didn’t enjoy the house red wine, but all cocktails were very good. The beach is literally out the back door. "Lovely hotel in centre of Philipsburg. It is getting a bit dated but everything was there and worked. Good AC. Good beds. We had a large 'suite' with m/w, stove fridge, etc. Excellent location and great staff. Not super fancy but highly recommended."

"My husband and I were very happy with Alicia's Inn - it was exactly what we needed, affordable, very clean, close to the beach, restaurants, and cruise pier (10-15 minute walk to the cruise pier). In addition, Morlene and Barbara were so very friendly and fantastic. And prior to my stay, they were prompt with answering any questions I had. Definitely would stay here again, and would highly recommend! Thank you Moreen (spellig?) and Barbara!! "
