"We loved everything about this property. There was so much room for our party of 9, we could have invited more. The kitchen was so well stocked and the beds were comfortable. So many towels and linens for all, as well. The patio and pool are beautiful and we loved the daily visits from the iguanas in the tree. This house sits at the highest point on oyster pond and has one of the best views. You can even see it from the French side which is only a few minutes away. We loved walking down to the beach/ Marriott each day for some exercise and visiting the cafe in there to hunt for chocolate croissants. There are some great restaurants in this area that we ate at on the French side, as well-Mama Pizza, l’Oasis, Bread and Butter and BZH. We would definitely come back. Check in was great and Robin and Kamila even allowed us a late check out to accommodate our flight back to the states so we could enjoy our last day on the island in the sun at their infinity pool. We think this part of the island is a hidden gem. It’s not as busy, has beautiful views, is close to so much (both French and Dutch sides). We hope to be back in the near future. "The hotel was really beautiful, modern and clean. The staff were really friendly, attentive and super helpful. The only thing to consider is the location - It’s not really close to anything so it takes 20 - 30 minutes to get around to places. But there are plenty of taxis on site so if you want a mix of quiet relaxation and activity, it just might be your best bet. Other than that, it’s an amazing hotel, and we had a great time!"

"On the beach in Guana Bay, beautiful pool. Outdoor area is very nice. 6 bedrooms - more than we needed but we really wanted the other amenities of this property. The Property Manager, Chris, was the best! Response time was immediate and he was helpful in his restaurant suggestions. He even helped us find a way to watch the Super Bowl in the house which was a huge plus! We had a rental car and everything was close enough. Kitchen was stocked well. We only had 6 adults but we didn’t think it would be crowded even with 12! "

"My husband and I stayed at the Waves for 7 nights in early February. As described, it does feel like you're on a cruise without the rocking. We enjoyed listening and watching the waves. Aside from the paint color outside (it's white now instead of pink) the inside pictures are accurate. Frank, the owner, was very responsive when we inquired about booking. He has even created a very informative booklet of attractions/restaurants on the island. Although helpful, we felt the booklet could use an update; especially the directions on how to get from the airport to the villa. Luckily, Google was able to direct us, so we had no issues. Other things we loved about The Waves: the sheets were fresh and clean, the towels- both bath and beach/pool were plentiful. Speaking of pool, there's a great shared pool and it was never busy. The beach umbrella and pool noodles were great to have available. The water in the shower had excellent pressure and it was nice and hot. A few items to note we did like the fact that The Waves was away from the hustle and bustle of town, with that you'll need a rental car to make the most of our stay.We also loved the waves and ocean, however, there is a fair amount of sea spray and a constant breeze that comes with being so close to the ocean. The concrete driveway was our biggest complaint. It is REALLY rough. I was a bit concerned our rental car was going to bottom out and be damaged. Frank said to drive slowly and we did, but it was still pretty bad"

"We had an amazing time at this property! The location is perfect—peaceful and quiet, yet not too far from bustling Phillipsburg. There’s a little grocery store nearby, which made it easy to pick up essentials. You definitely need a car to get around, but the beach is just 10 steps away from the pool, which is so convenient! The beach was pristine with soft, clean sand—ideal for relaxing.Communication with Christoph, the property manager, was excellent. He was incredibly responsive, always ready with helpful tips and recommendations. He suggested a wonderful French bakery that we loved, and even connected us with a fantastic driver for one evening.The house itself was spacious, with large bedrooms and great bathrooms. It’s an ideal spot for large families or multi-generational groups since there’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to relax, enjoy the beach, and explore the area."
