"We drove from Ojochal side and the Google map link took us through the right road side. We eventually did get there. We stayed in Toucan (3 bedroom). The communication was on point. The road is indeed unpaved and it takes us about 15 min. We did have a 4x4 but didn’t really need to use the function only when it rained. We did notice the adjoining bedrooms, we can hear each other’s conversation. We were 2 couples and had to decide which rooms would give us more privacy. The place was real nice and cool. There’s AC in all the bedrooms and living room. The kitchen has most of what you’ll need to cook a meal. We couldn’t get the AC on and it was immediately addressed. We had to play with the shower to get the right temperature. It’s either very hot water or cold. We didn’t get a chance to address this. We’d stay here again. We felt safe and comfortable. "

"We saw the listing, read the reviews and were absolutely looking forward to our brief stay in this little gem. As it turns out, this is one of the top Vrbo properties we have ever rented. This home was set up so well and had so many extra's that many owners seem to forget. Spices, cooking spray, all the pots and pans you could ever want. Food storage containers, several ice cube trays, which in this climate is a must. Coolers and beach chairs and more towels for the plunge pool than we could use in a month. And speaking of the plunge pool, what a refreshing way to end your day. Also they have two outdoor showers, a fenced in parking area, I could go on all day. For 2 or 4 people this is the perfect little nest to call home for however long you visit might be. Two markets within walking distance, a great Tex Mex restaurant 100 meters away and the National Park an 8 minute walk from the house. Can't wait to spend some more time here..."

"Hi This place is great lots of birds at tree level and the his and hers showers are a nice touch. It's quite a walk up to some of the rooms so bear that in mind. The hotel restaurant is good and is also close to another new restaurant on the beach. The breakfast was great and the hosts were good. One the nicer places in drake bay but also slightly expensive, I will also mention the mosquito grills on the vents did let small flies in but I was at the start of the rainy season too. All great though thank you "

"The location of the property is beautiful, set back from the road and elevated for a great view of the Pacific. We particularly enjoyed the Happy Hour each day at 5:00 to enjoy the fabulous sunsets. The pool, the colorful plants, the toucans, tanagers, orapendulas and numerous other birds added so much to our visit. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Our 5 days spent at Cristal Ballena were top notch!"

"We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Margarita. We had them (Alberto) book our tours and found that if you pay cash (dollars or colones) you save some money on your tours. We did the snorkeling (well worth the money!) - 4 different snorkeling stops, an island stop and a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant. Corcovado Park tour - make sure and take shoes to get wet getting in and out of the boat, as well as shoes to wear while touring the park (they provide a lunch at the part and you are not allowed to wear your hiking shoes in the facility). And the surprise wonderful tour that we took was horseback riding! The horses turned into a river and actually walked in and out of the river - your feet get wet often (very nice as it cools you down), you then hike a little bit to a wonderful waterfall - wear your suit! You get to swim and it is SO refreshing! As far as the hotel, we loved the pool, room, and the location! Our room had a great deck and so many beautiful birds were constantly out there on the nearby trees - download the app Merlin - it will identify birds by their call. The hotel is a short walk to the boat pickup for tours, etc. and just around the corner from the row of awesome restaurants in Drake Bay. We ate at a different place every meal and loved all of them! Overall, we loved everything about our stay at Hotel Margarita!"
