"Location is great. Facilities are great. Front desk great. Felt that hot water did not last sufficiently long for a family of 4. Had golf cart parked on our parking space and when we tried driving around it to get to our unit we scratched car on the hedges which is unfortunate as it is a rental car. Some issues with bugs getting into the house which we had to remove as one of the members in our family was bug phobic. "

"We loved the house. It is perfect for two friends. An upstairs and and a downstairs apartment. Both cozy and the basics. We loved climbing the spiral staircase to get to the third floor. There is a porch swing with gorgeous views of the lake and the volcano. Easily walk to several local places to eat and mini-market. Loved it here."

"We loved the home and property. The home is well stocked with everything you need for your stay. The outdoor area is beautiful with a lovely pool and landscaping. Arnaldo responded quickly to any of our questions. On our last morning, the groundskeeper came to get us to show us the 2 sloths in the trees at the back of the property! We also booked the chefs for our last breakfast and they were amazing! Great experience."

"The house was bigger and nicer than I expected. The view is incredible! So fun spotting coatimundis and hummingbirds even from inside the house through the big windows all around. Raul was the most helpful and friendly host - he even pulled our car out of a ditch! Lillian's dinner was from heaven - perfect meal for our family after arriving from a long day of travel. "Our family had a great time in La Fortuna! The check in process was straightforward and Karen was very responsive anytime we needed to contact her. We had a little issue with the safe and Karen arrived within the hour to give us the key and resolve the issue. "I hate to make a review like this but we had to leave early and find a new place. The “dog kennel” next door had barking day and night was unbearable. The exposed electrical wiring in the shower caused concern. The owner was very responsive but could not correct condition. The property was rated a 10 with 7 reviews when I booked. Not sure hire that could be possible."

The area surrounding the property has so much to do - within 10 minutes you can see sloths, toucans, owls, lizards, iguanas and many different species of birds. "The property was very clean! Anything questions we had were answered very quickly through WhatsApp. It was nice to know the owners are very attentive to your needs! It has everything we needed! It is about 10 minutes from town, but once you get used to the drive it gets easier. The road felt safe and no animals or critters came into the house (we were worried that might happen). Highly recommend this cute little place! "
