"We had a delightful stay at Elktrace Lodge for two nights. Our cozy cottage was perfect for my husband and me plus our two dogs, plus the location was great for skiing at Wolf Creek. Tom and Evelyn, the hosts, went above and beyond to make our stay special. They are warm and inviting, and their attention to detail made us feel right at home. "Comfy bed, clean room, nice staff, no complaints. For a hotel in Pagosa I would rate above average. I live right up the road in Bayfield and regularly book in Pagosa as necessary to facilitate work travel. For contractors there is a nice open parking lots to pull in pickup trucks with trailers. Not sure how a tractor/truck (semi) would fare, but I stayed there with my dually pickup and 35 ft gooseneck and there was plenty of room."
