"My husband, mother and I had a great stay at the Cottage on King. It’s tiny but we loved it. It’s beautifully decorated and you can’t get much better in terms of location. There were plenty of towels and other amenities to make for a comfortable stay. The beds and pillows were comfortable- not amazing but slept fairly well. You can hear the traffic but it didn’t bother us. "

"We used this beautiful home for a history trip of DC landmarks and regional Civil War Battlefields. The location was great. The drive into DC averaged about an hour and 45 minutes in the mornings due to traffic, but all the other Civil War destinations were much less and the house is large and very well maintained. The family loved sitting in the hot tub each night after a long day of walking and had the extra pleasure of a herd of deer that greeted us each night next along side the driveway...

"You seriously never know what you’re going to get with a VRBO, and we’ve stayed in plenty— but this might be our new favorite spot. There’s something so charming about an historic home like this (the stone walls! The claw foot tub!) that also boasts modern amenities, cleanliness, and the most gorgeous furnishings. I’m a sucker for antiques when they are so beautifully curated and not simply cluttered or collecting dust, and this place was just so incredibly charming. An historic stone home...

"Pros: As a woman traveling alone at night, I really appreciated how brightly lit the parking area was. It felt much safer than most hotel parking lots. My hotel room was very clean, and check in was quick. Possible Cons: there are only two floors, so if you prefer a high floor, that isn't a possibility here. And there is no small makeup mirror, if that's something you need. The area isn't particularly walkable and there isn't anything nearby you can get to on foot. Overall: This is a great pick for a short term stay close to Dulles Airport. "
