"WOW!! I rented a cabin on the ocean side of the hotel, and it was WONDERFUL hearing the ocean crashing from my bed each morning and evening. I live in Guatemala, so my standards for facilities have been affected accordingly. This is a beach cabin with a thatch roof and you CAN SEE through the cracks on the floorboards. This area of Guatemala is HOT all year round, but there is a fan in the cabin which helps immensely. The bathroom was not fancy, and you could see the ground beneath the shower...

The huts are made of highly combustible thatched palm leaves. Unaccountably management permits smoking in adjacent public areas, even providing ashtrays. This is probably in violation of national law, certainly offensive to the 85% of people who do not smoke, and creates a headline waiting to be written about...
