"This is a beautiful old hotel with classic marble and wood decor, which does show its age a bit but in a charming way. The location is close to the station which was handy for an early flight. The rooms was a very good size for Amsterdam, it was well equiped with good coffee, excellent bathroom. The price was very good for this quaility of hotel. Above all the staff were fantastic. I would definately stay here again, and recommend it to others."

I asked beforehand for a late checkout as was told to phone reception at 7am on the day (not very convenient if the reason you need a late checkout is to sleep!) You could not sit on the toilet without having to lean a significant amount to not be blocked by the sink next to you. "Amazing hotel, amazing staff and within walking distance to the centre. Only disappointment was that the duvets on the bed are super thin and I was freezing at night as it was winter and about 2 degrees. There were no spare blankets in the room. Other than that I would definitely stay again but I’ll ask for additional blankets "
