"We stayed in Stables 2 and it was a beautiful and cosy apartment. A friendly cat greeted us and made sure we we were all settled in :) and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of red wine, cookies, a nespresso machine with four pods and firewood for the fire. The kitchen is kitted out perfectly and had everything we needed. The bathroom was nice, with a shower and spme toiletries and all very clean. We had the best sleep in the bed, which was more comfy than my own bed, so now I'm thinking...

"Unfortunately we were not offered the two bedroom apartment we had booked, instead we were offered a one bed apartment with a sofa bed. The sofa bed was very hard and not suitable for two people, not even children. We requested a partial refund for this and were assured we were entitled to one but this has not been received. "Stayed here for a couple of days over the Easter break. I booked for the views over Windermere which were stunning but there is so much more. Really liked this hotel, I love the blend of modern and period pieces, a really nice feel to the place. Lots of lovely areas in the hotel to enjoy and relax, the brasserie, conservatory and gardens. Breakfast was also delicious in the restaurant, very pleasant. All the staff without exception were polite, smiley and professional and a credit to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again, loved it!"

"Stayed overnight on a dinner bed and breakfast rate. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was nice but the bathroom was in need of an upgrade, that being said it was very clean. Inner was fantastic all meals are homemade to a very high standard not a frozen item to be seen. Breakfast again was a good. Very central to the centre of Lancaster. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone."
