"We’ve stayed at Hulili before but this was our first time in the treehouse. We really enjoyed it! The property is wonderful. The treehouse is definitely a unique layout but it’s very well done. The structure itself is like a tall (vertical/stacked) cabin nestled in the trees. Lots of windows which we left open to let in the breeze; we found the temperature and airflow quite comfortable, especially at night. Note that there is a narrow/twisting set of internal stairs from the second level...

"The accommodation was perfect for just me, or if I had my wife with me. Large bed, large closet, spacious bathroom, and a good-sized common area. I was greeted with a handwritten note with some homemade banana bread ( I think), a cluster of bananas, a couple of ripe papaya, and a few oranges. The private lanai was peaceful, and the grounds were lovely. The hosts are on site, but other than an initial hello when I arrived, I did not see or hear from them the entire stay. The property is 8 acres...

"We had the best stay. Our host were gracious and accommodating. The location and property were all that were promised. It was such a beautiful place to just relax and rest. It was so quiet and peaceful, I could’ve stayed there much longer than our three days. We look forward to returning in the next time we come to Hilo."

"The Pineapple Cottage was the perfect peaceful spot. Amazing sunrises and a great view. The porch was awesome and the outdoor bed was so nice during both the sunshine and the rain. The hosts were kind and helpful, and they have a couple of friendly dogs you can play with if you're missing your own animals back home. The farm is very pretty and you have free rein to stroll around. We had all the amenities we needed in the bathroom and kitchen, including cookware. We're so pleased we chose to stay...

"Staying in the Waipio Valley is a magical experience and Kristi and Sukumar's cottage is the perfect place to do it. We used the small kitchenette to cook meals each night, hiked, did trail runs, walked to the black sand beach and viewed the epic waterfalls. It was incredible and we can't wait to come back."

"This is a very special home about a 1.5 miles from the Waipio Valley Lookout. It's most suited for a couple with small kids or a single traveler. The front lanai view is gorgeous and their is also a lovely back patio with a small orchard. You are fully immersed in nature and the wonderful geckos combat the insects. "I was super excited to stay at this property. The pluses...the Koy pond. The fish are amazing and love to eat. Also, the sounds at night from nature. Would have been nice to have a lounger in the sun room rather than just chairs. Not many other pluses. We tried to get connected to Internet. The welcome book didn't seem to match the house. The descriptions were off. There were at least 5 remotes but none of them did anything. Only one turned off and on the TV. TV was activated through Roku....

"Really unique secluded log cabin in the rainforest. We enjoyed a sunrise walk out to Waipi'o overlook and walking around the gulch trails on property. The Owl theme and art was incredible. Frogs are loud but the host leaves ear plugs which is really thoughtful. Totally recommend starting here. Mahalo!"

"Beautiful property with new private cabins. Common area exceptional- with clean new restrooms and fully equipped kitchen/dinning area. Stream and waterfall is beautiful running below the cabins. Peaceful with the gurgling steam and chirping frogs. Sunrises on the hill is an added plus. Axel was extremely welcoming and educated us on the trees And plants he has planted. He is passionate about his property and happy to share with others. Highly recommend! "

"We had a good stay at Magic Skies. The property seemed to have a nice atmosphere with the different spaces and room themes though there were some areas undergoing maintenance at the time of our stay. We didn’t end up having the breakfast service offered but it seemed reasonable. Though overall was an enjoyable stay with a good location."

"The Inn is on a beautiful property that is accessed via a gate protected private road. The waterfall is amazing and very peaceful. It is not your standard hotel as there is no TV or standard amenities, however there is a common area kitchen space with shared refrigeration and appliances."
