"We had a lovely stay. The breakfast was first class, as were the staff. I have two comments about our room (8) - the pillows were a bit lumpy and if we had occasion to stay again, I’d request not to stay in this room because of the two steep steps down into the bathroom. Younger folk may have no problem with them but being that much older and having creaky knees, it wasn’t easy to negotiate them. Thankfully there was a very sturdy rail to hold onto. "I found the Hotel easily from the Railway Station after a short walk. I found everything about the place lovely! Lovely room with all you need available, lovely comfortable bed and a lovely Breakfast with everything you could to need! Staff lovely and polite. The only downside was its position on a main road and by forgetting to shut window/ bathroom door got woke up by the morning commute!!!"

"The single room was comfortable, clean and pleasant. It had tea making facilities, a hair drier and iron. The en suite was of a good size and private. The only draw back was the shower - it had little water pressure and the shower hose was a poor fit. I had a key to a separate entrance which gave me freedom to avoid the bar and flexibility to come and go."

"The property is beautiful, clean and the staff is lovely. It's 5-10 mins walking to the city centre and to most of the attractions. Highly recommended and definitely will come back Also the breakfast is very good."

"Property was perfect for the price. Clean and welcoming. Shower was nice and the bed was comfortable. I was able to get in touch with the management on arrival. Tap in the ensuite was cold and despite running for a while, did not produce hot water. The building was subject to some noise pollution and you could clearly hear other guests in other rooms. Other than that, I would book again."

"A gem of a place to unwind. We were made to feel very welcome and the hot tub and setting was very relaxing! Hospital and food were also better than you’d expect for the price. Great value all things considered! "

"From start to finish staying at the old manse was a delight . Val welcomed us with a warm and friendly manner.the room was lovely clean and warm with a very good bed Good selection of things for a hot brew And the breakfast was fantastic a real quality full English cooked to perfection and piping hot we also had local kippers delish we cant wait to stay again ps very dog friendly 😋 "

"Great location and well equiped. Very clean."

"Very few properties are perfect and this property had a few issues, but these pale in comparison to the convenience, location, professionalism, and cleanliness. The staff more were truly amazing and they themselves deserve five stars. They were accommodating, considerate, professional, efficient, kind, and truly represented the very best of York. I would be inclined to make these apartments my go to place for any future visits to York."

"Nice quiet hotel within easy walking distance of the centre of York. Lots of bars and restaurants around the hotel. Hotel parking and a public car park are a short walk away. Very friendly helpful reception staff, we arrived early, they held our luggage and transferred it to our room when it became available."

"The location of the hotel was excellent.We were able to walk all over York and felt safe doing so. Eating establishments, pubs and the York Minster itself were all very close. The breakfast was amazing! So many choices and very affordable. The staff was very friendly and engaging and we would not hesitate to come again."

Great overnight stay at Roomzzz in York

"Thanks for a great stay! Very comfortable bed, great shower, nice quiet, pretty location within a short walk of the city centre. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It was great having the option of free access to tea and coffee anytime in the foyer as well as complementary croissants in the morning. The kitchenette area in the room was very useful too. Another BIG plus was being able to store our bags in a locker for no extra charge after checkout. This enabled us to explore the city the following day without having the trouble of booking locker storage elsewhere. We only stayed one night but wished we had booked for longer. I would definitely return to this accommodation if I’m ever visiting York again. Only one slight negative - the advertised price dropped marginally after our confirmed booking. However, we thought this aparthotel was good value for money. If you’re trying to decide - don’t hesitate, just book it. I highly recommend this accommodation. "
