"This is a great spot. It's about 5 minutes from the Opua Ferry and less than 10 from Russell. It's super remote and quiet. Taking our suburban kids (9 and 4) was fantastic. There is a little boat shed at the bottom of the hill and access to a beach which my older kid loved exploring. The beach itself is quite rocky and full of oyster shells so not recommended for swimming but Long Beach near Russell is amazing and only a short drive away. "This property managed to accomodate a large group of adults with a mix of couples and singles. The location was great and the property did mostly deliver. I think a bit more thought to the number of towels provided for a week of stay plus a more well equipped kitchen could have warranted a gold star rating. "

"I can’t fault the house. It was very clean and tidy. The kitchen facilities were all there and in working order. Great to have access to Netflix. Here was the issue. First is the very steep and dark drive way. I like property with easy access. This was not easy access. Once you got to the top of the drive you have to do a 3 point turn to be able to leave. This was not fun on a slope. The second issue is that the house is a shared property. This means there is a rental under the house. And they...
