"Three nights stay - done a few now. Unfortunately, and not the hotels fault a particularly noisy neighbour this time around. Finally gave up trying to sleep at 3am and visited reception. "We had a brilliant 1 night stay here on a weekend. The room we stayed in was fantastic,good size and had everything we needed,I wish we had stayed longer! The breakfast was already in the room which I actually really enjoyed,I couldn't believe the choice available,there was yoghurts,fruit,granola,a fresh loaf,porridge,cereal,milk,teas,coffee,hot chocolate, even some britvic orange juice. "I travelled from Newcastle and stayed here for my birthday - we had only heard of the hotel on the YWP website when booking an experience. The hotel was really nice, really clean and the layout was really nice (like little pods before entering the hotel with little shops, bistros, restaurants etc made it feel like a holiday resort.) The reception was another pod, the staff were really lovely and they had a little essentials shop too which was a really nice touch for toothbrushes and other things...

"A comfortable stay overall. The room was a little tired and the room doors don’t keep sound out, which might be an issue if you’re a light sleeper. Service was very friendly. Food prices were shockingly high… £17.50 for a club sandwich is what I’d expect to pay at a 4-5* in London. The Salutation across the road is a much better choice for food. If you just need a comfy bed for the night then it’s still a decent choice. "

"Fabulous value for the size of room.We have stayed here many times when visiting family in Retford. Our room this time was a little disappointing compared to all the other rooms we stayed in.The bed was a double but we only had a single wardrobe and 5 hangers.Usually there is ample wardrobe space and a seating area.I will definitely return but will ask for the rooms we've had on previous visits. It is a very comfortable place to stsy and handy for walking into town."
