"Farbulous! We stayed at The Palms on two separate occasions during our visit to Belize: once at the beginning and once at the end of our trip. Both times we were greeted at the gate with a refreshing wash cloth to cleanse our face and hands. The hotel is very new (less than one year old) with enormous, well-appointed rooms and lovely amenities. The rooms and grounds are immaculate and everyone we met was so nice. During both of our stays, we were treated to a delicious loaf of coconut bread that served as a late-night snack and a quick breakfast. The hotel will help arrange private cars, taxis, and tours. The Palms is located in a safe area of Belize City and we felt very comfortable walking to dinner at a restaurant a few blocks away. Highly recommend! "

"Janelle and Kevin are so nice and very attentive to making sure you are well taken care of. They pick you up by boat and bring you to the property. It’s your own little oasis along the river. Great property and even better people managing it."

"This is a nice little place in Belize City not too far from the airport. But know it will be $30US each way in the taxi to and from the airport. My only complaint is the pool in the back was not heated and too cold to get into. The owner said something may have been wrong with the heater but it was never fixed during our stay. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. There was a nice hammock outside of the room where we were able to lay and relax. Overall we were pleased with the stay. There was one restaurant very close that we walked to which was Smokey’s. It was mediocre at best. They tried to do American food and it just wasn’t that great. They said the burger may have been better. I would rather have local food rather than bar food I can get in the states. Breakfast was very good, as it was homemade there at the main house, and we sat out on the porch to enjoy it with a lovely view of the courtyard. Just remember your bug spray! "
