"I had a unique and memorable stay at River Bend. While the property itself is a bit run-down and has the feel of a bargain-basement summer camp, it was surprisingly clean and comfortable inside. The real highlight was the amazing staff, who were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The resident dogs added an extra layer of charm to the place! The bar was open on arrival, the staff was ready to order-in food for dinner, and the breakfast was fresh and ready at 7:00 AM. It may not be a luxury resort, but it’s certainly the coolest airport hotel you could ask for—perfect for those seeking a laid-back, friendly atmosphere. They picked me up from the airport in a boat and took me back promptly the next day! All in all, great value for the price, and I’d happily stay again."

"This was my second time staying at The Palms, and it remains my favorite hotel ever. If you're traveling to Belize City, I highly recommend staying here! The area is safe and quiet, with plenty of delicious food and fresh juice vendors nearby. BakeD is just around the corner—do yourself a favor and try the meat pies and cookies! The rooms are beautiful and spotless. Both the Wi-Fi and AC worked perfectly. The in-room coffee maker came with great Nespresso pods, and we were welcomed with a freshly baked coconut bread on arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. There was also a well-stocked mini fridge with a variety of drinks available for a fee. We opted to grab our own from a small convenience store just down the street, but it was great to have that option if you didn’t feel like going out. The entire property is extremely clean, and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. We also chatted with several locals in the area—everyone was so warm and welcoming. The hotel’s transportation services were super convenient and made getting around easy. Overall, I can’t recommend The Palms enough. 10/10!"

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Once you arrive in Belize City, you are chartered to a marina (15 min) then taken by boat (30 min) to the island. You are greeted by staff immediately with cocktails waiting for you. The stay is intimate… you are 1 of 32 max guests on an island. (During our stay there were maybe 15 guests total at one time). Which means it is easy to schedule all activities on a whim. We as novice did reef fishing, kayaking in the ocean, reef snorkeling! All meals and an afternoon “bar snack” are provided with an open bar for your enjoyment. The staff are amazing and cater to your every need while giving you the privacy to enjoy your vacation. All were great but specifically Andre, Obi, Glinda, Daisy, Reddy, Michael, Percy, Evelyn treated us like family. Would love to return! "
