I requested a ground floor room; I was told it would open onto the car park which is in a secure off-street courtyard, but that was actually very convenient for me. Good breakfast. "Room was clean with a tv with many Channels, kettle, heater, fan, iron, towels and extra pillows. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was great, had a bit of everything, was hot and tasty and was being refilled to keep products available. Only one issue which isn’t with the hotel but feel should mention, there is not much parking. ‘Hotel parking’ is also for pay display general public. The parking spaces out front are also very small, you wouldn’t be able to open the door at all to get out of a couple of the spaces leaving them pointless. Spaces in the back car park past travelodge are normal size if you can get one."

"It was wonderful. The room and grounds were beautiful. There was a shuttle that took us into town so we didn’t have to worry about driving at night after enjoying the pub. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. "

"It speaks for itself that we keep returning to this hotel, we love it. Took some friends with us this time, they loved it too. We are returning again next month with family members. We always receive a warm welcome. The food in the restaurant is very good. The location is great"

"This hotel is convenient for visiting the city centre, cathedral and shops. My only criticism is that we were not forewarned about off site chargeable parking. This is not clear on the Hotel.com website. Staff and facilities at the hotel can't be faulted."
