"Very charming hotel with a lively vintage vibe and an excellent restaurant. The room and general interior seemed tired, but everything was very clean and smelled lovely. The courtyard beer garden is very characterful! The staff were all young and cheerful and the food was phenomenal! Do go for their recommendation of house beers - Arkell's Brewery, very good brew. My partner and I often go for short city breaks and recently decided to steer clear of AirBnB for ethical reasons and seek out local hotels and alternative accommodation. The room at the Lansdowne Hotel was very affordable and comfortable, and our whole stay well rounded!"

"The Winchester Hotel and Spa was a great value stay. I stayed one night for a birthday treat to be able to enjoy the spa. The spa facilities are excellent and included in your stay. The gym was surprisingly well kitted out, but the spa was the highlight. A lovely relaxation area, good amount of places to lounge, lovely heated pool, sauna, hottub, steam room and plunge shower. Excellently comfortable and clean and would be great as a spa day too. The rooms are a clean and comfortable. The restaurant for dinner or breakfast didn't really appeal. The hotel was easy enough to find and a short wander from the train station. "

"Like this hotel having stayed before. The room was very comfortable and generally quiet although we did get an early wake up (before 06.00) due to refuse collection but it has to be done. The only points we were not particularly impressed with was that the bathroom bin had not been emptied before we arrived and contained used sanitary products. Also, for the price we would have expected the bed to be made and it wasn't."

"Great hotel for everyone. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay at the weekend. My little ones enjoys seating around in the lounge area. Lovely breakfast too. Thank you so much. Plenty parking space for free. Very convenient location with restaurants, service station and home bargain walking distance from the hotel. Even managed to order Chinese takeaway delivered to the hotel. "
