"13 ladies all had a fabulous time from start to finish. Fantastic place to unwind and forget about home life for a few days. The beds were so comfortable. House was amazing!! Loved every minute of our stay would highly recommend to family and group bookings!!"

"Artist cottage was a comfortable well furnished and clean property. It was within walking distance of Harrogate and handy for visiting surrounding area. There is a railway line to rear but it wasn't intrusive. Our only concern was the extremely steep wooden stair to bedrooms and with the bathroom being on the ground floor, this was not ideal. So, I would say not for the older guest or anyone with walking difficulties. "

"We informed Host and Stay the day we arrived the toilet down stairs was not working. We called them each day we were there to get resolution. They came to look at the toilet the next day in the afternoon and yet they did not fix the toilet. They made no attempt the remaining 2 days we were there. When we left 2 days later, the toilet had not been fixed. Host and Stay has been non-responsive as to offering us a refund."

Also it didn’t mention that there were steep slippery steps to get on to the rear garden which again was just a slab and deck area which wasn’t a garden as such. Living area very small and if at full occupancy wouldn’t be able to fit everyone in. TV & internet not great and had to keep refreshing to get connection. Could do with a bit of TLC. "We had the best stay at this property. All three properties are very well equipped and were perfect for our large group. The location is stunning and great for doing walks in the local area. Sally was very responsive to any queries I had ahead of the trip and whilst we were there. A hot tub had just been installed a few days before we arrived and was the perfect addition to the property. I am very much looking forward to coming back in the future!"

"Stayed here for one night. Directions were not great, the address on the website is not the address of the property you will be staying in. We were told to park in Chatsworth place and look for white patio doors. What we actually should have been told is the property is up the back of a small inlet between property numbers 33 and 37. This would of saved time wondering around trying to find the property. We had to park outside someone else’s house half on path half on road, so was a bit worried...

"As ever, heavenly! We spent a lovely 5 days at barn acre. The weather though changeable was excellent and gave us a chance to continue to explore the area. Bolton castle is a must. We were able to return to barn acre knowing that it is a wonderful base. Everything you need for a very comfortable visit. This is our third visit and won’t be our last. We thank the owners for their cosy home from home and their lovely welcome package."

"We loved our stay at The Old Post Office. Ideal for our family get-together. The beds are really comfortable, lots of spaces to hang out in the house, the area is magic- roll out of the front door and you are by the river or can go on glorious riverside walks from the front door. The Aga was lovely and warm and the property was well equipped, we had everything we needed. For us the photos didn't do it justice, The Old Post Office was comfortable, characterful and very spacious."

"Staying at Susanne and Franks place was an absolute delight. They were so friendly and welcoming on arrival and the Procesco and flowers were a nice surprise. The barn was a lovely place to stay with every little detail having been thought of. Will definitely return."

"Fantastic stay for one night while our son was playing cricket close to the accommodation. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming. The apartment is lovely, it has everything you’d want and need in there. Really comfortable beds. I had a great nights sleep. The local village is a short walk away. I would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Thank you so much for a lovely stay."

Quirky and peacful
"We had a great time in The Old Swan Hotel. Our room was large and comfortable. Not a great view, but wasn’t too worried about that. The shower was simple to use and excellent. There were nice large white bath towels and very good in room tea facilities. The staff were very friendly and ready to help. We had an evening meal there as well as breakfast. The food was good on both occasions. The hotel is steeped in history and of course where they found Agatha Christie in 1926. I loved the decor of the hotel and the quirkiness of the original lifts. The hotel is situated away from the main area which makes it quiet and peaceful. We will certainly stay there again in the future."
