"We were only here for 1 night for the Adirondack Marathon - the cleanliness of this house is unmatched! Convenient for us to easily get to Schroon for the race. We didn't get to take advantage of much else in the area since we were just there for the race but would definitely return if we come back again to spend more time. Cathy was such a kind hostess and the check-in and check-out were convenient and stress-free."

"My wife and I wanted to get away for the weekend with our dog and this was a perfect spot. It’s about halfway up the eastern side of the lake so it’s within an hour drive of anything you want to see in the area. Ticonderoga is the closest town and we found a great natural food store as well as the bagel and coffee shop. The property is clean and comfortable with ample sleeping space for a bigger party. "Arrived around 5 on Saturday. Great location. Once I figured out how to open key holder, we moved in. We enjoyed our cabin, found the information folders helpful. We had a nice fire and enjoyed our stay. Our suggestions for improvement. The light in the main room was very bright. A dimmer light switch would have been appreciated. Would like to have had a reading light on both sides of the bed."

"We had a great week at Birchwood Cottages!! The cottage itself was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the kayaks, SUP boards, beach toys, etc that they have available for everyone to use. We were there during a major storm, and lost power. We immediately were checked on and assured that the generator was on so we would at least have water. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. My youngest is already asking for us to book for next summer."

"A great location for the hiking and kayaking we wanted to experience in the Adirondack mountains. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was adequately supplied. The home was a little dark for reading which were were prepared for with book lights. You can hear the cars on route 87 to be aware of if the would bother you. "

"Amazing cottage, lots of room, big open spaces, excellent kitchen and dining area, 2 fireplaces outside, outdoor patio with furniture. Fans in most rooms, huge beds, nice bedding, extra bedding and pillows, rooms were decorated well with a cottage theme. Full bedroom downstairs with king bed, downstairs also has a game room, sitting room, and washer and dryer.
