The apartment itself is lovely and cozy, just the right amount of space for two of us. It did sometimes get a little cold (I'm not used to the Nest thermostats but for others it's probably not an issue) and it was a little odd to have the toilet and shower in separate rooms. "What a lovely apartment! It was very well equipped and decorated. Loved it. It was a home from home. The host was friendly and took the time to explain how appliances and lights operated. There was a very useful binder with information on the area, shopping and restaurants. The apartment was within walking distance of the city center and Alkmaar was worth exploring. "

"We arrived in Amsterdam as the final leg of a 17 day European vacation. Check in and out was easy, Edwin was a wealth of info and the home is spotless. We happened to be there one day that the weather was horrible - cold, rain and VERY high winds,,,a perfect crash day for us to stay inside and rest. Comfy beds. Walking distance from the central train station and a grocery store nearby. "

"We had a great time in Amsterdam. Wessels place is a nice spot for families, outside of the main hustle and bustle but easy enough to get in via tram - especially the zoo.We got a great view of fireworks over the canal from the top floor windows."

"The property was roomy and immaculate. It was very comfortable with a large bed and living room. The kitchenette provided everything we needed for self catering if we wanted to eat in. Very easy to shop for food with a supermarket close by and easy access to public transport and all the sights of interest with canals on the doorstep. Our host was very helpful and greeted us upon arrival. Would definitely recommend this fabulous apartment. "
