"We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights at the Lakeside Loft, it is truly right in the heart and soul of Rotorua! Near to a lakeside walk and park for kids, but not close enough to make it a distraction. A dozen restaurants and ice cream only steps away! Our favorite was Croucher Craft Brew for the mussels, but get there early because they run out. The apartment was huge, spotless and well appointed. "This place is special and would highly recommend if you are looking for the same things we were. Great base for family holiday with our teens, magic location with kayaking right on the lake, walk to the chippie, rotorua central attractions a couple of mins drive away. Kids had their own space and joint space great too. This is not super modern but is priced really reasonably and the host family are super lovely people and still left us with a nice separate space to do our thing. "

"We had a bit of a hiccup on our arrival. We contacted host whom replied quickly and solved the problem immediately. We loved our stay near Lake Okareka. We travelled into Rotarua to enjoy hot springs and mud baths. Go to Redwood Butchery in Rotarua - delicious lamb cutlets and scotch fillet!!! The bath was delightful on the deck - we are used to starry skies but this was the most stars ive ever seen. Enjoyed listening to the birds, watching the night sky - shooting stars and moving satellite...

"We had a wonderful time sitting outside watching the birds, People, fishermen and dogs. Such a beautiful location with a walkway around the lake that you could easier walk to the small downtown. Grocery, drugstore, restaurants were within walking distance. Everyone was friendly. The kitchen was stocked for breakfast and had everything you would need to cook. It was great to be able to wash your clothes and put the drying rack outside. Close to so many things that it was the perfect place...
