"Really friendly staff, our waitress,Jaz, was the best! The room was fantastic, super clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The deep soaking bath was really great and there were enough toiletries to last for much longer than our stay. Air con and heating was easy to set and with the smart TV we could cast Netflix and watch a film before bed. "Hotel could be really lovely if it had a slight revamp. Our bedroom smelled of damp, but we think that may just of been down the old building and old windows which had mould on the inside. The bathroom was great but not much room to manoeuvre in the bath to have a shower. The shower screen itself was not very long and therefore water went everywhere on the floor. Breakfast was slightly disappointing as the fried eggs were overcooked/hard and there were no mushrooms left as they’d run out. Hubby...

The only thing I'd change is the plug and bright green fire escape lighting that illuminates the room too much for a good night's sleep. Overall a very lovely stay. "

I understand that this is an old property (with some modernisation) but I could hear traffic from the road outside, snoring from the room above along with their alarm vibrating at 6.15am. "Great short stay. Our room oozed character and history, enhanced by top quality fittings. Bed was enormous and super comfy. Breakfast was absolutely spot on. Complimentary bottles(!) of gin and whisky and the posh shower toiletries topped it all off."
