"For an airport hotel, our stay was excellent. The room was huge and spotlessly clean. We had an early breakfast at 6am (continental only as hot breakfast started a little later). There is a restaurant for an evening meal where the food was acceptable but a little expensive, however there was nothing else in the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a shuttle to and from the airport. "

"Firstly, not quite an 'Airport' hotel when it takes 10 mins by car along a dual carriage way, I had expected to walk there from arrivals. There is only a tiny soap bar in the room, no shampoo or shower gel. We paid for the breakfast only to find there were no scrambled eggs left & 3 sorry looking sausages, the bread was stale and I had to ask the staff for cups then plates. "We loved our stay, and were even a little surprised at just how good everything was! Although Ratho is close to the suburbs of Edinburgh, it feels very much like being in the middle of the country when you arrive. The cottage is set in 20 acres of lovely woodland, and the grounds are full of trees and nature. We watched birds, squirrels, highland cows and the resident Shetland pony and donkey from the house.
