"Our stay was beautiful! The castle is stunning, including the surrounding grounds. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique experience. My only 2 caveats: there’s weak cell signal within the hotel (but there is WiFi) and the location is a bit out of the way if you’re mainly sightseeing in the city centre. Uber will be rude about coming out here; one tried to guilt us into tipping more, claiming we had put the wrong address into our app. We preferred to use the taxi service...

"Lovely area, and delightful to watch the coos. The only drawback was it was a bit hard to see the road exiting the property, but we also had a larger vehicle."

"Welcoming team. A lovely property in an amazing location. Good selection of drinks and food. Their spa is really good too, with a separate pool and gym too. I wanted to add a photo, but the app wouldn't let me on this occasion. Well worth a visit and loved the close proximity to the beach"

"Value for money. Yes it’s on the A1 but don’t let that bother you. Inside you can’t hear a thing and all bedrooms are on the opposite side and overlooking the fields to Banburgh Castle and the frame isles lighthouse. The property is in a convenient position to get to many places. Such as the Castle, Holy island, Seahouses and Berwick on Tweed. Good is excellent and the staff are great and friendly. Thanks "

"The property, service and cleanliness were excellent even though they were under staffed it did not affect the service. It was surrounded by commercial businesses which would have put us off booking had we known however, it did spoil our stay it just didn't make for scenic breakfasts. I cannot stress enough how amazing the staff were."
