Welcoming staff
Comfortable room with super comfortable bed . Dinner and breakfast were super tasty . If you want the best place to stay I can't recommend this place enough . Easy five stars
Excellent stay, Craig and Steph were both amazing members of staff.
The food was amazing, all local, quality produce.
The rooms were well appointed, clean and very comfortable.
Highly recommended, will definitely return.
Fantastic stay at the Allanton inn. Bar and restaurant is great, especially having a drink in the large outdoor area. Staff are very helpful and extremely friendly. The bed in our room was a little hard but it this is a minor issue for such a great stay.

Great food
Great hosts
Very quiet and private
Definitely recommend to any traveller
What a great place. Garden area out back with seating for drinks and dinner. Really good food and bar, be sure to book a table as they fill up quick. Very nice room. Will stay again when in the area.
Great inn, lovely food, attention to detail in the bedroom - flannel and excellent toiletries provided. Better than many hotels. Parking was on the street - but I parked in front of the front door - closer than for many hotel car parks. Would visit again.
This place is amazing!
The staff were really friendly and helpful, the rooms were excellent, clean and very comfortable.
The food was incredible, breakfast was basically whatever you wanted. Dinner was also excellent, especially the puddings.
Would definitely stay again.
Lovely clean room. Food and drink are top notch and this is a smashing place to stay when in the area.
My room was big enough for a comfortable stay but I could have benefitted from a work area for the evening paperwork.
I really appreciated the information pack. I walked the Whiteadder walk (from the information pack), which helped me unwind after work. The countryside, wildlife and sheer beauty of the area makes this a region to recommend. The personal touches in the info pack were great and reflect the justified pride in the area and the Inn itself.
The public areas are also beautifully decorated and very well maintained. I'd have no hesitation in returning and am very grateful to Katrina, William and team for their great hospitality.
Clean, comfortable with a good location to explore the borders or further afield. The restaurant is popular and for good reason. Good value and quality dinning.
lovely few days here on business. Very friendly staff and great food. Breakfast set me up for a full day until dinner!
will come back when in the area again.
