"We hadn’t appreciated what a gorgeous location this property was in. The view from the front of the cottage over the reservoir is gorgeous, and a first floor reading nook is so cosy and gives the feeling of being by the sea side! The property is really tastefully decorated, making it feel like a home from home. The check in process was really smooth and easy to understand. "We spent a cold and wet weekend in the Peak District but, fortunately, the cottage had everything we needed and was lovely and warm after a cold walk.Lots of walks nearby and the walk from Bakewell to Chatsworth and back was lovely, despite the mud. The children especially enjoyed the playground just across from the back garden. Our only disappointment was that the listing said there was a hot tub, but that must have been an error. "We had a really relaxing and peaceful stay. The property is very rural which suited us perfectly but you will need a car to pop to the shops. The property has been renovated to a very high standard with quality furniture and fitting throughout. Found the beds very comfortable, the photos and art very interesting and the rugs very cosy! Location is great though our car was essential of course! Lindsay was available if we had any questions and the Welcome hamper very generous! Very safe enclosed garden area for our cockapoo. beds really comfortable"
