I booked the room very short notice after arriving in Ambleside but was greeted by Kevin who showed me where to park, my room, and pointed out the best pubs and restaurants to visit in the evening. I used the secure parking down the road which was handy (Not sure what I selected on the parking section of the previous page of this review as the options were blank for some reason). "A lovely place run by a very nice couple. They prioritised cleaning our room to ensure we could check in early to get ready for a wedding. We had a cozy double and although small was great for a one night stay. The bed was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing too. All in all, a lovely place to stay (with the added advantage of onsite parking in the centre of Windermere) "

"To start off, I didn’t get a code to get into the property, couldn’t get into the room So trying numerous times to get in contact with owners was impossible and even hotel.com couldn’t get in contact We set off to the property to see if we could speak to anybody, and we spoke to a woman who managed to get the codes for us Great room, great bath Just to service was terrible and the staff wasn’t that helpful "
