"I had a great stay here, the owners are very kind people and make you feel at home. I found the room quiet and peaceful and enjoyed the breakfast in the mornings overlooking the garden. Lots of interesting places are walkable from the hotel. Would recommend!"

"Meine Ankunft in Tunis war stark verspätet und doch hat der Besitzer des Hostels noch bis nach Mitternacht auf mich gewartet. Da das Hostel im Februar relativ leer war, habe ich statt einem 4-Bett-Zimmer ein 2-Bett-Zimmer für mich allein erhalten – ohne Preisaufschlag. Das Hostel ist schön eingerichtet, ruhig und liegt inmitten der Medina. Besonders dankbar bin ich für die ausgesprochen hilfsbereite Art des Inhabers, u.a. für einen Ausflug nach Dougga. "I arrived feeling under the weather. A doctor was called, prescription picked up, and the staff looked out for me. It was asking a lot, I know, but they were champs. Thank you. The facilities, location and breakfast were all good. Reasonably priced, too. There was a nearby laundry mat where I had a load of laundry done for 18 dinar, or $3 Canadian. Compare that to a hotel in Buenos Aires that charged $150! "

Gorgeous, safe and comfortable stay!

"We stayed in Tunis for three nights and absolutely loved this beautiful, historic hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and felt very safe. I was specifically looking for a traditional dar experience, and this place was perfect! The hotel staff was friendly and easy to communicate with. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, and the room stayed quiet at night, which made for a great sleep. Breakfast was included and was quite good with a variety of pastries, cheeses, eggs yogurt and dried fruit and granola. I also booked a hammam spa experience on our last day—it was very enjoyable and something I’d recommend. You need to book 24 hours in advance. Leave plenty of time for the experience which includes a 30 or 45 min massage, plus hammam and gommage. We also dined at the hotel restaurant one night, which served a delicious and generous meal. The price was a little higher but it was very convenient for our dinner after a long day of touring. The hotel is located in the old Medina, so you’ll be dropped off by taxi at a nearby square, and from there it’s just a short walk (less than five minutes) to the entrance. It’s also within walking distance of a lively area where it’s easy to catch a taxi and explore the city’s sights. We booked a day tour through Viator and the guide met us at the hotel. "

"Conveniently located, clean little hotel, comfortable and with a good breakfast. The only problem was that its geolocation in the expedia app is incorrect, so we ended up going around in circles for 30 minutes when we first arrived instead of getting there in five. "
