"I loved my stay at La Mansion. Christopher and the rest of the staff was so helpful and genuinely kind. The room was spacious and beautiful. The property and view was gorgeous. Waking up to the lake view and rainforest sounds every morning was heavenly. I didn’t get a chance to hike down to the lake because the rain was in predictable the morning we tried to do that. "The rooms were small but quite sufficient, cost was very reasonable, and the beds were comfortable. There was a good hot prepared breakfast with choice of 3-4 options and fresh juice. The receptionists Wanda and Zadieka were absolutely fabulous and incredibly helpful - do not let these young ladies leave your establishment, they are so hospitable, intelligent, knowledgable of the area and out-of-this-world helpful!!!"

"We stayed here for 4 nights, it was a bit pricey in my opinion, but it had a stunning view of the hillsides and the volcano (when it wasn't cloud cover). You will need transportation in and out as it's a bit off the beaten path. The Villas are nice and updated on the inside. The bathroom and deck are definitely bigger features in the room as you can sit on the deck and stare out into the lush green fields or you can have a bath doing the same. "We had a small family reunion and Cala Lodge was amazing. This was our daughters’ first time in Monteverde. They were treated like family and felt the warm Pura Vida welcome at all times. There were exotic birds everywhere. The room was quaint and comfortable, set right on the jungle. There were self-guided traiks through the jungle with information on the various flora and fauna, including the massive strangling fig trees and gorgeous Motmot birds.
