"This is an older hotel, and a few of the touches are quite old. Some of the wallpaper isn’t sticking to the walls very well and there’s carpet in the elevator, which takes a few minutes of holding down the button before it will move. The staircases were stunning and the food at dinner is fabulous. I thought they could’ve had a little bit more for the continental breakfast in the way of pastries and such, but eating was held in a ballroom room giving you a feel of elegance."

"We felt the front area of the hotel was a little tired and we were not sure what the bedrooms would be like. When we got to the bedroom is was very clean and comfortable, there is a new bathroom fitted and the bed and linen was very good quality. There was a good choice of tea and coffee on the tray. The food was superb! Wonderful choice well prepared for dinner about mid price with big portions especially the starters! The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We will be back."
