"This place was a very cute, homely, with a family owned ryokan vibe. We had a nice spacious room, the biggest we had in our whole trip to Japan, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The futons were so comfortable compared to other futons we slept on at other ‘trendy’ ryokans. The onsen was very nice and relaxing, they offered both private and public onsen and amenities. The styling is old fashioned but this added to the charm of the place for me and I would definitely stay here...

"The property is very expensive for the area. The service was lovely except for the last day when we needed to leave the hotel and get to the bus station to leave Hakuba. The front desk staff was unable to find a taxi to pick us up and the hotel shuttle could not be sent to the bus station for an 8 am instead of 9 am run.
