"Stayed for afew days for a wedding, our stay also included New Years eve. The cottage was perfect for the 4 of us with more space than we were expecting. We had a great time playing games and sitting round the log fire talking. The wi-fi was also good which was great for streaming movies etc. The weather was a bit wild when we were there so we didnt get the most from the walks that are on the door step. Good communication from Susie throughout our stay. Would certainly stay again. "

"We had absolutely no heating. I tried several times to contact the owner by email, messenger and by phoning her. No reply. I had been in contact with her regarding check in via email and messenger, I even sent a photo of the temperature in the house. 10 degrees. "Communication from the owners was poor right up until the day of check in. I made contact a few days before we were due to stay, to understand the process of check in. After reading my messages, they totally ignored them and we had to call the night before to make sure that our booking was actually in place. "I am not sure where to begin, but our stay at the Victorian Lodge in Windsor was absolutely amazing. Hamish was a wonderful host, and we could've stayed forever. There is something special about being in the English countryside, and our stay at the Lodge almost felt like we were inside of a storybook. If you want to be close to London/Windsor, but away from the crowds and the noise, you will not regret staying here. We had no issues getting food delivered, or getting rides to/from the lodge....

"Family and friend gathering. 9 adults over 50 years old. We enjoyed being on the Themes and spent our time outside. The house is not meant for that many adults even though it has 5 bedrooms. Many of the beds were too short and one room is clearly a children’s room. The place needs some TLC on furniture, rugs, beds (sag in middle) and outdoor cleanliness…lots of spider webs. "This is the place to go if you're looking for a peaceful stay in nature. The cottage is close to hiking trails and all you hear are birds singing.We arrived to a basket of generous snacks, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need for a family get together.Tim and his family were super helpful and made us feel welcome and at home.A weekend was simply not enough! We wanted to stay longer.. Highly recommended!"

"The cottage was clean, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed to end our UK trip. We were able to rest, enjoy the sun in the garden, and recoup from our adventure, before hopping on a plane home. Our host was kind and accommodating and responded very quickly. It's a beautiful neighborhood. The only thing to note is it is quite a long walk to/from the train stations and grocery stores. You will need a car or bus to get there."

"This is a perfect little characterful bolt hole for a break away from the hustle and bustle. Well equipped with everything you need for a short stay. We ate out, but the kitchen was well equipped for those who want to make meals.The cottage has a lovely garden that gets sundhine for most of the day.Cute villiage on the doorstep with a few restaurant options, but plan ahead as not everything's open every day of the week."

"Comfortable bed, shower and bathroom facilities good. Nice breakfast. Unfortunately nowhere to stretch one's legs as it is at the airport. At the end of a long journey it is a good place to rest and recuperate. "

"Arrived at 245p. Received a room that was part of the CATEGORY of what we ordered but was smaller than we expected. Alex and Anastasia were able to accommodate us to a bigger room in the same CATEGORY as what we ordered which was awesome. The room was clean, however there were ants that would crawl out of their holes and into our room during our entire stay. We simply texted the housekeeping to clean it, and they did promptly. The breakfast was included; we ordered whatever we liked each day after scheduling a time with Anastasia. We are from the states so we got eggs everyday. This location was extremely nice; we had a private pool right outside our room which overlooked the ocean and volcanos—beautiful. It was about a 15-20minute walk from Fira square which had all the street foods, store, and bus route. "
