"Great little hotel with some exceptional staff working there, stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every night of it, the food was fantastic and very well priced, the full breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day off, some parts of the hotel could do with a little touch up and it needs more lighting on approach from the front but otherwise one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you for that great experience. "

"Very friendly staff, we were able to drop our bag off a few hours before check in and when we returned check in was very straightforward forward and we were asked to complete our choice for breakfast for the following morning which I think is a great idea. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom was lovely and clean too. Plenty of lighting options in the room, well stocked coffee and tea, bottles of water, cookies and a nice touch the caramel wafer biscuits. The bed was very comfortable, good quality bed linen and pillows and the bath towels were nice and fluffy and bright white. We were visiting family locally so did not eat at the hotel that evening but we did call in for a drink later that night, tables were very clean and prices reasonable. Lauren was extremely pleasant at breakfast, we were shown to a table within a few seconds of arriving to breakfast, tea and coffee brought to the table in the first minute and we didn’t have long to wait for our breakfast to arrive, which was a good quality Scottish breakfast. I have to say both myself and husband believe Lauren is an asset to the team, she was very smart and friendly. We will definitely choose The Moorings on our next visit to our family in the area."
