"It's a really old hotel, when you enter it has an amazing ambiance. Long walk from valet parking to check-in desk and the elevator is not an elevator its a wheel chair lift so be prepared if you have a lot of bags. Ultimately, if you want to be in the middle of everything your in the right spot. One thing is house keeping has a problem with walking in your room without knocking. "Had a beautiful one night stay at the chancellor hotel. It was for my anniversary, and they gave us a complimentary bottle of Cava and a card which was so sweet and unexpected. The room itself had lots of charm even though small, but expected in the city. Great proximity to union square, the street cars, and Bart. We had a fantastic view on the 11th floor. "

"I’ve been here 3 times already and it has been consistently clean, lovely, and service is always great. Each room we stayed in felt luxurious, modern, and highly comfortable. Water/Ice refilling stations are usually a short walk down the hall from the room. Hair dryer is top notch, it leaves my hair very silky and shiny. They have a steamer not an iron. It takes a while for tougher materials to dewrinkle like linen and thick cotton but it was pretty fast for a dress with thin material. This time...

"We had a fun couples staycation last minute. We got a nice upgrade that overlooked the cable cars going up Powell. The room was spacious, clean and in great condition. We ordered ice and it was brought up immediately. We didn't have a phone charger so they provided one for us. The Post Room drinks and service were fantastic. They had live music and the ambience was great. We would definately stay here again. "

"Very nice and clean hotel. Very kind personnel. Only issue is that even if you stay more than one day, we actually stayed 4 nights, there is room cleaning / service only only when you check in. This is becoming common in all US hotels , from the Covid time, they save thousands of dollars .. but it is somehow disappointing as they still charge you the same price for each night you stay more. There should be a discount for multiple Night stay if they do not offer the service. To be fair they have a notice in the bathroom that the service is visible on demand for basic service. Anyway a great hotel ! "
