"My family had a wonderful time when we stayed at this house. The house was beautiful, my children loved the porches with hammocks. The view of the volcano was excellent, and it was within a 20 minute drive from anything we wanted to see within the area.Our host recommended a tour organizer/guide who lived two houses down (Papa's place). He too was excellent, reasonable prices, excellent tour. His wife also cooks if notified in advance for small (or large) groups. "

"We had such an amazing time at this VRBO. It is such a beautiful home with amazing view and lush flora right out your window. The host was so amazing to work with. His communication was fast and great. The can opener needed replaced and he dropped one of the next day. He was very attentive to any need. I highly recommend this location. We loved the outdoor living area and beautiful pool. "

"Our family had a great time in La Fortuna! The check in process was straightforward and Karen was very responsive anytime we needed to contact her. We had a little issue with the safe and Karen arrived within the hour to give us the key and resolve the issue. The air conditioning worked well, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was as described. Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"The property was very clean! Anything questions we had were answered very quickly through WhatsApp. It was nice to know the owners are very attentive to your needs! It has everything we needed! It is about 10 minutes from town, but once you get used to the drive it gets easier. The road felt safe and no animals or critters came into the house (we were worried that might happen). "We loved the property, it was beautiful and spacious. The WiFi was a little touch and go and it was at least 20 minutes to get into la Fortuna. We would definitely recommend, but just be aware you will be doing a lot of back and forth driving to get into town and the nearby activities."

"This is a very nice property but there are a couple of dozen little fixes required. Screens and doors do not fit snugly - so expect the odd gecko. The toaster was pretty finicky, the lock was a bit finicky. The water pressure was up and down quite a bit while we were there making showers quite challenging - nothing major - but it adds up. The biggest complaint is with the very dedicated rooster who takes his job very seriously. Also lots of barking dogs and a dirt bike next door that...

"Our stay in La Fortuna was very nice. We had to change our travel dates due to a snow storm and the host allowed us to make changes. Mario and Carlos both gave great recommendations for restaurants, taxi drivers and excursions. House had lots of room for everyone to have their own space both inside and outside. Property was in walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend. "

"Aunty went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. Helped with booking our excursions and recommended restaurants. We came for mission work with our church then extended our stay. She dried the clothes we washed in her dryer and folded them while we were out doing the zip line! Her puppies were so cute and friendly and our whole fam enjoyed playing with them. Highly recommend!!"

"Here are the highlights I thought I'd call out: -There are tons of fun things to do at the house like ping pong, pool, the swimming pool, games, exploring the property, the animals, etc. -Other reviews mentioned the road. We found the drive to be very easy. It's about 5 minutes on a dirt/gravel road. We were there in monsoon season and it rained every day but the roads were great. -The bathroom is also mentioned in other reviews. The main bathroom on the second floor is definitely "dorm like"...

"Most nicest and luxurious hotel in La Fortuna. The best location. Nice view of the Volcano.Staff was great, attentive and friendly. Hotel common areas and rooms were very clean and comfortable.
