"The cabin, location and owner were great during our Turkey hunting trip. We had plenty of room for ten guys. Owner was great and responded immediately when we reached out. Found out the owner also owns Shotgun Eddie’s, which had excellent food and cold drinks. We will be returning and would highly recomend. "

"This cute cabin was a perfect getaway for our family! We wanted to hike Shawnee National Forest and planned this trip for a couple of months. We were fortunate enough to stumble across this picturesque cabin that comfortably housed 5 of us. Everything about the place to welcoming and relaxing. The hosts did an excellent job making us feel welcome and make us want to come back for another trip. We planned this trip not knowing what the weather had in store for us. Even with the flooding, terrible thunderstorms and hail all around us, we made the bets of our trip! Hands down, we highly recommend this little retreat if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. "

"Property was spacious, exceptionally clean and kitchen has everything you need. We explored the outside property and when we came back everyone in our group, including the dog, had ticks on them. Obviously no fault of the owners but just be aware to do a thorough tick check upon returning. Close to Garden of the Gods and Rim Rock. It’s a remote location and takes about 10 mins from main road. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this cozy spot near Shawnee National Park! The views were absolutely beautiful, and the peaceful setting made for a perfect getaway. One of the highlights was getting a tour of the owner's small working farm—we loved meeting the animals and learning more about the property. She also gave us some great hiking recommendations that led us to some amazing trails we might have otherwise missed.We’re already looking forward to coming back when the pool is open and the weather is even warmer. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and explore the beauty of southern Illinois!"
