"The hotel was wonderful. Located very close to the bus stop, cafes, restaurants and shops. It was very clean and spacious. The complimentary snacks and soft drinks as well as complimentary happy hour was a lovely addition. We arrived a little late and self-check in instructions were very easy. A complimentary bottle of wine in the room as we had missed happy hour was an unexpected surprise. Just wonderful."

"A magical place in beautiful setting with unbelievable views. Lovely, charming staff and managers made everything easy and enjoyable. Excellent food with multiple choices and a tasting menu with wine pairings that was perfect each night, a great surprise given the small size of the lodge. Definitely one of my most memorable stays! Worthy of the cost."

"Easily one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The rooms balance honoring the Victorian history, with modern comforts. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom modern. The main lounge is incrediblly comfortable and inviting, with tea and snacks available. The location is fantastic, only a 5 minute walk into the heart of Queenstown. "It was excellent in many ways and a real gem. However, the shared bathrooms were very far from the cabins if you're someone who needs to go in the middle of the night."

"Amazing place to stay is the only description that comes to mind. The staff is great, the place is clean and very well maintained, there is a refrigerator w/ food provided for free (breakfast items, some beverages, etc.) Definitely recommend this place and will stay there again. "

"Quirky and lovely “cabin” with great view of Lake Wakatipu and good access to some nearby hikes. The cabin was beautiful and had all the bells and whistles and tech amenities you could want. Loved the idea of the full screen and TV but we couldn’t bear to bring down the shade on that great view, so decided TV was not a priority. Loved the hot tun shared only by the few cabins. Took advantage of yoga in the yurt and dinners on the property (not many other dining options nearby!) "

"Unfortunately we could only spend one night here because we left for Franz Joseph the next morning. But, we were delighted when we arrived and saw this beautiful room…amazing view of the lake with floor to ceiling windows, it had a full kitchen, fireplace, living room and dining area. I could stay there for weeks and be happy. Only one downside is the distance from downtown. We took cabs. But, if you like to walk, it’s a lovely one."

"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience overall! The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the stay. The highlight of my visit was the breathtaking lake view from the room—absolutely stunning and a true retreat for the senses. The rooms themselves were comfortable, providing a relaxing space to unwind. However, the early morning noise from the trash collection slightly disrupted the tranquility. The hotel’s restaurant also deserves a mention. Both breakfast and dinner were delightful, with a variety of options to satisfy different tastes. The meals were well-prepared and flavorful, making dining at the hotel a memorable experience. Despite the minor noise issue, I highly recommend this hotel for its amazing views, comfort, excellent dining, and service. It’s a great choice for a rejuvenating getaway. "
