"We really loved our stay here - not sure why the reviews are so bad. The farmhouse has been renovated and is gorgeous - you have a bedroom with another bed on a mezzanine for the kids. The rooms are clean and have aircon (thank goodness... it was 35 degrees :-)) There's parking right in front of your room and a big pool and pool area to use - if I understand correctly there is a small charge to use the pool but we were out every day until late so it didnt apply. "Il proprietario gentilissimo purtroppo ha lasciato la struttura per un periodo in mano a degli incompetenti i quali hanno sicuramente rovinato la reputazione della struttura. Spero per lui che si risolleverà presto e soprattutto accendino il riscaldamento in inverno dato che solo con il condizionatore non ci si può scaldare bene."

"The property I stayed in, " a sea view apartment", No 11, looked directly over the new larger harbour of Monopoli and was adjacent to the castle tower. . The Xmas and New year decorations were still up and the whole area seemed to be decorated in the "old historic centre". Breakfast was very good. Fantastic hotel right in the centre

"What a fantastic hotel right in the centre of matera. The rooms were wonderful and the staff very helpful. A word to drivers getting tit he hotel can be a little stressful as the roads are very narrow and confusing. The restricted zone signage is the worst but ignore it as the hotel sorts the issue out with local police. "

"Quaint little hotel within the beautiful town of Matera with original features. A perfect little, ancient Italian town and we fell in love with the cobble streets, winding paths and amazing views. Bring trainers and wear comfy clothing as you will do a lot of walking to take in all the sites "

"We absolutely loved everything about our stay - the beautiful rooms, the stunning spa, the delicious and generous breakfast, and the spectacular surrounds. We felt totally spoilt for our stay. We parked about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, in a parking building (€1 per hour), which was handy enough to the hotel. Highly recommend!"

"We didn’t get the bottle of wine and we forgot to ask for it. However, the hotel, the room and location was stunning. Specially the people who work at the hotel, they were wonderful! All of them were kind and friendly. We even met the owner whom was very kind and attentive to all our needs. I’d come back for next time. Kudos to Giuseppe for his time and recommendations!"

"This property deserves a big thumbs up. Cave rooms were very well designed with a lot of attention to detail (lights, candles, custom shower gels). Breakfast was one of the best I had recently with a lot of local cheese and fruits instead of banal buffet items. Ricotta was simply amazing. Staff was polite and helpful. I would definitely stay again. The only recommendation I would give is that since each room is unique I would put each room and its images separately instead of room category. "

"This property is nothing short of magnificent. From the amazingly appointed and clean rooms to the wonderful and kind and professional staff this hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The location could not have been better. The breakfast every morning was amazing. I just can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We look forward to coming back soon.. "
