"This is a historic hotel inside the city walls in Chester. It was built in 1535. The lobby pub and restaurant were unique with great atmosphere. Elderly people will have great difficulty using the steep stairs to the 3rd level rooms, but we enjoyed this hotel greatly!!"

"Stayed here after a family birthday party. We just needed a family room for the night. Great value , reasonable comfy beds . We were a family of 3 adults . Did the job, no frills accommodation. You need to mobile for this accommodation, as all the rooms seem to be situated up two steep flights of stairs. Fine for us but anyone with mobility issues would struggle"

"One night stay along with our 15yr old son. All 3 of us stayed in the same room which was very spacious, set out lovely and very clean. We were met by a tall young woman who was very welcoming and friendly and I was invited to complete details into a machine, then asked to pay the cost of the accommodation there and then. "Worst experience ever at a hotel. To begin with we were handed the wrong keys for our rooms and given NO keys for entry into the actual building. This absolutely ruined the weekend as we were forced to sleep on the streets. "Lovely little apartment in the centre of the city. The apartment is very basic and the bedrooms are small, but it's clean and staff are lovely. It has everything you need for a short stay in Liverpool. The only negative is that the sofa and chairs in the living room are very hard and incredibly uncomfortable - so not ideal if you want an evening in, or if you have children and are tied to the apartment in the evenings. "
