"I booked Essex Resort & Spa at the last minute because its convenient location for my visit purpose. This is the first hotel that provided robes for pool and outdoor hot tub. Super nice to use to go out to the hot tub in freezing night and more so coming out of it. Shows how carefully they thought about guest comfort. It was exhilarating after 200 mile drive up from Boston to attend my grandson's state Lego robotics championship. I will be sure stay here again when I am in the area. King...

"We come to lake placid often and stayed here before. Room service messaging is confusing and the front desk person was arguing about it which did not leave a great impression. Someone should correct the grammar of communication. The facility itself is renovated, decent size rooms. Traveled with our baby and my service dog. "

"This is by far the best extended stay motel in Vermont! It’s always super clean, and the room has everything you need. The property manager Mike goes above and beyond to ensure a great stay. "Had a great time! Only issue is that the walls are paper thin, so you heard absolutely everything in the hallway and rooms next to you. Building was nice and clean, staff were friendly and accommodating, and there are lots of things within walking distance. I would stay here again 😊"

"Such a beautiful well maintained property! It was equipped with everything we needed (except food 😆) The beds were extremely comfortable, everything worked as it should, the fireplace was warm & inviting & with plenty of wood to keep those fires burning! The only problem was, you cannot use the dvd player. It is a dvd/vhs player & is too old to work with the newer tv. We brought our Roku so it didn't matter… We will definitely be back! Thank you Rick & Sue!"
