"I believed I was booking an "apartment" for my wife and 6yo son to stay. When she arrived what she found was something more like a shed in the driveway of a much larger house next to it. Parking is crowded. My wife didn't feel safe so I told her to go get a hotel. BTW, neither VRBO nor the property owner were interested in capitulation."

"This venue was perfect for our family reunion! Indoors, the rooms and beds were comfortable and had everything to make our stay perfect. From the welcome sign in the foyer to the delicious coffee cake from a local bakery, Kim and Kevin thought of everything. Outdoors was perfect, too, with several seating areas to choose from at night and a basketball court added to our fun. We will definitely be back!"

"We had a great time at Highland Lake. The apartment was so comfortable, and larger than I would have thought from the description. It was convenient to town - the teens loved access to DQ, pizza shops, etc just a few minutes away. There were kayaks and a paddleboat we could borrow, which I somehow missed in the description - nice pluses! The lake access from the dock was perfect. "Perfect for our visit to our children and grand children. The lake is across the street with the marina next door. Rented a pontoon boat, at a discounted rate for beautiful day with the kids. Minor problem getting in initially, but resolved by Jeanne quickly. Note that this is a renovated lake residence which has a second story rental which can get a bit noisy and the bathroom is in the rear of the house with the bedroom in the front. Overall will be returning in the future."

"Everything was clean and organized. Very easy to get into the house, very clear directions about where to park. Beds were very comfy and setup neatly. Plenty of towels available, blankets, pillows, and really anything else you could think of was available as well. The only small bad thing about the stay was being able to hear the neighbors upstairs, but it was no major bother."
