"This adorable cottage attached to the main house was fabulous for my wife and I for 4 nights! It has a little kitchen, space heaters everywhere (us southerners can’t handle the New England winters like we used to!) and was very clean! We have never stayed in an attached rental before and I would say we would be open to exploring more because of our experience! "

"We had a great time at Highland Lake. The apartment was so comfortable, and larger than I would have thought from the description. It was convenient to town - the teens loved access to DQ, pizza shops, etc just a few minutes away. There were kayaks and a paddleboat we could borrow, which I somehow missed in the description - nice pluses! The lake access from the dock was perfect. When I booked the apartment, I didn’t realize there was not a designated living room, but honestly, I enjoyed being able to just lay back, watch TV and fall asleep, when we returned from our daily adventures. "Perfect for our visit to our children and grand children. The lake is across the street with the marina next door. Rented a pontoon boat, at a discounted rate for beautiful day with the kids. Minor problem getting in initially, but resolved by Jeanne quickly. Note that this is a renovated lake residence which has a second story rental which can get a bit noisy and the bathroom is in the rear of the house with the bedroom in the front. Overall will be returning in the future."

"We made happy memories over a cold January weekend. We cooked together, sat around the fire, played games and dozed in comfortable beds with high quality linens. We enjoyed the view of the water and the twinkling lights on the property at night. The steam shower was divine. If you like cooking, bring good knives, a veggie peeler and good pans.
