"What a lovely few days we had in Salerno! The apartment is in a great location within walking distance to the shops, restaurants, waterfront, Duomo and other sites. Giusy and Pasquale were the perfect hosts and offered an immaculate and comfortable apartment. Communication and service were excellent and Pasquale not only waited to meet us (our train was delayed), but he also arranged our taxi for our early departure. We were sorry to have to leave. "Giuseppe is a wonderful man, who, with his wife and son do a wonderful job of managing the property. It is about a two minute walk to the sea, and located conveniently for market, bus, and trains. This is a great, economical home base for exploring places like Amalfi, Paesrum, Rome, Naples, Pompeii and many others. We loved it."

"This is a beautiful property, but you do need to be able to walk up steep roads. It was so clean and it had everything you would need. The bathroom was really nicely done with lovely tile. The best part was the deck out front overlooking the water. An interesting old building."

"For the most part the apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. The apartment has plenty of storage. The entire building is under construction and lots of dirt from the outside gets inside. The noise from the construction starting at 7-8 am on most days was very disturbing. There were days that jack hammers were used right outside the door. In addition, the traffic and people talking outside the window sometimes until 1am, made it difficult to sleep. I had to wear ear plugs to fall...

"The neighborhood was a real Italian neighborhood and not a tourist neighborhood of tiny, twisty streets and passageways. It was a bit loud all day and night with people talking very loudly. We closed the windows and used the A/C at night and it was quiet and we slept well. Our hosts communicated well and were very responsive to our requests."

"If you want an Italian experience then this is the place. The beautiful period property was perfect for us, comfortable, well air conditioned, extremely spacious and very clean. The lovely family who own the property made us feel most welcome and helped us with information about the area and facilities. Cons: (1) the property is on a hill - you have to take at least two flights of stairs (not in the pictures) outside the house to get to the entrance, and then there is a colorful long flight of stairs inside the house (in the pictures). So be prepared if traveling...
