Cons: (1) the property is on a hill - you have to take at least two flights of stairs (not in the pictures) outside the house to get to the entrance, and then there is a colorful long flight of stairs inside the house (in the pictures). "Of the 4 rentals during our Italian adventure - this property had too many requirements, for example, even though paying a cleaning fee - we had to clean the apartment, take out trash daily and had trouble with the showers not working. "If you want an Italian experience then this is the place. The beautiful period property was perfect for us, comfortable, well air conditioned, extremely spacious and very clean. The lovely family who own the property made us feel most welcome and helped us with information about the area and facilities. "For the most part the apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. The apartment has plenty of storage. The entire building is under construction and lots of dirt from the outside gets inside. The noise from the construction starting at 7-8 am on most days was very disturbing. There were days that jack hammers were used right outside the door. "This is a beautiful property, but you do need to be able to walk up steep roads. It was so clean and it had everything you would need. The bathroom was really nicely done with lovely tile. The best part was the deck out front overlooking the water. An interesting old building."

"The neighborhood was a real Italian neighborhood and not a tourist neighborhood of tiny, twisty streets and passageways. It was a bit loud all day and night with people talking very loudly. We closed the windows and used the A/C at night and it was quiet and we slept well. Our hosts communicated well and were very responsive to our requests."

"We truly enjoyed this quaint suite. Location was perfect for us: beautiful views, charming town, good proximity to Amalfi Coast, Naples, Pompeii, and Salerno. You can take a ferry from Salerno to main towns on Amalfi Coast and Capri. Just keep in mind that having a car (the smaller the better) is a must for this location. Parking spot is included with rental which is perfect. The house is located in a private gated compound with breathtaking views. We would come back in a heartbeat. "
